The founder Kang Jiahao, whose Spanish name is David , graduated with a master's degree in agronomy from National Taiwan University in 2007, and then joined the diplomatic service and was dispatched to Nicaragua. For nearly a year ,David offen visited various coffee farms in Nicaragua.
Coffee is one of the most important hobby crops in the category of agronomy. In addition to his love of coffee, David is also very fortunate to be able to take the coffee course opened by Mr. Wang Yuwen when he was studying in the Department of Agriculture. The class not only learned the professional agronomic knowledge of coffee seed origin, classification, environment, cutting and cultivation, and harvesting, but also learned the related techniques of coffee tasting (cupping), which laid the foundation for David's ability to select and evaluate green coffee beans.
David focuses on a good cup of coffee, from cultivation in the field, post-harvest processing, to roasting and brewing, which all affect the quality of the final coffee. Therefore, he has been investing in coffee roasting research since 2015, and has entered the American International Coffee Review evaluation system in 2020, and has also received a high score of 94 points. And in the same year, participated in the Taiwan International Tea and Coffee Evaluation Conference (ITCE), and won the gold and silver medals for brewed coffee in this conference.
